Yesterday, Thursday 6th February 2014 was a very sad day for St Hilda's Parish, as Father Matthew spread the news that our beloved Brother John Charles had passed away. He will be deeply missed.

Father of Light from whom every good gift comes, send your Spirit, we pray, into our lives with the power of an irresistible wind, and by the flame of your wisdom, open the horizons of our minds. Loosen our tongues to sing your praise in words beyond the power of human speech, for without your spirit it is not given to us to raise our voice in words of peace or to announce the truth that JESUS is LORD. Amen
